Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Move To Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix, Arizona is an amazing place to live. I’ve lived here my whole life and I’m still impressed with how much this city has to offer and how much this city has grown.

And I have to share the top 5 reasons why you should move in here. So whether you’re heading this way or are looking for a new city to call home, you’ll be excited with everything I’m going to share with you.

Valley Of The Sun

First of all, there’s the weather, and this may be the most obvious reason because we are called the Valley of the Sun.

Personally, for me, this is the most beautiful place to live because we actually get 300 days of sunshine every single year, and it can be 345 days depending on the year.

While we have that many sunny days, the rainfall average we get is around 8 to 12 inches, which can be a huge difference if you’re coming from Florida or Seattle, for example.

But I’ve got to tell you that yes, during the summer we do have really hot days, with the temperature around 110 degrees.

This year, Arizona set records of having consecutive days over 110, but this happens only during those 3 summer months, the rest of the year you’ll find absolutely amazing weather.

Outdoor Activities

Another great point about this weather is that it offers predictability, that is, we can plan outdoor activities differently than people who live in other states.

And that’s the second reason.

Getting that 300 days or plus of sunshine gives us the benefit of actually planning things ahead of the day, like picnics or hiking with the family, etc.

But not only that, Phoenix allows you to experience different climates once you can get to places that offer less sunny days like the mountains, with their 2 hours distance, and the drive for cities like Flagstaff you can experience the Pines to go camping or experience the snow during winter.

Whether you want to walk around on a tank top during December, enjoy activities like hiking, biking, camping or even stay at home drinking outside with your friends; or if you want to catch winter clothes and go snowboarding and enjoy the mountain, Phoenix can fit you perfectly.

Cultural Scene

With the inbound migration rating as number 3 in the country, behind only Texas and Florida, the cultural scene in Arizona has changed a lot.

The growth of this cultural scene brought us new music, new museums and art places, fantastic new food… it changed completely the scenario.

We’re receiving a lot of high-end restaurants in the Valley, with amazing food, wonderful and different cocktails to enjoy, all of that while you appreciate the music from other cultures.

For me, this had blown up and became a part of the enthusiasm and excitement of living here, because we can always find new things to do and explore while having a great time with friends and family.

Job Opportunities

Besides the inbound migration we have had here since COVID, we also got tons of companies heading this way and with them, the perspective of new job opportunities.

The prediction is that by 2030, we’re going to have around 800.000 new jobs, which is a tremendous growth for the next 10 years.

Some of the companies that are heading here include Tesla, Lucid, Intel with a billion-dollar factory, and many other facilities on the outskirts of Phoenix that are going to change completely this area.

Cost Of Living

This may be the most important reason, especially during this year that we saw a huge inflation growth, but I’ve got to say that the cost of living here in Phoenix is 25 less expensive than in New York City, for example.

The salary average for you to live well here is around 60,000 per year. With that, you can afford to rent and do the things you want, have a car, travel, and enjoy yourself, which I think is great.

Even with the growth and the other things that happened in the past 10 years, Phoenix managed to still be a very good and affordable place compared to many other cities in the country.

Another great thing is the home prices, which always make people very shocked because of the affordability, even though Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the United States.

There you have it, my top 5 motives why I think you should consider moving to Arizona.
